Anti-Rape Underwear

Anti-Rape Underwear

A company is marketing a product they say can stop rapes.

They're hoping to raise $50,000 to market anti-rape underwear for women.

The New York company AR Wear uses cut-resistant, locking straps to keep the form fitting underwear on so that sexual assailants can't pull them off or even cut through them.

The company does stress that the only person responsible for rape is the rapist, but some people complain that anti-rape underwear just reinforces the idea that when a woman is raped, it's her fault.

The company has raised about $40,000 so far on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo.com.
