Paranoid Social Networking

If you're paranoid about the NSA snooping on your email or social networking, there's a site for you.

A new social media site based in Iceland, a country with a reputation for a commitment to privacy, claims stronger data encryption than US-based companies that will keep you safer from the government's prying eyes.

Vivaldi.com also promises to shield users from aggressive advertising.

In addition to social networking, the company is also offering email services and promises not to scan your email to generate ads specifically tailored to things you've mentioned in the emails.
